I’m still in love with the Amazon region, but I want to gather more materials on the region. Does someone out there have a good place to start? Where would someone go if they wanted to visit the region for a month?

I have decided with only two years before the trip that I need to start studying the flora and fauna to get the full experience in the Amazon. I am also studying up on the shots that I need to get before I go.

To further study and one hell of a time in the rainforest.

Compiling my Amazon Book List

Hello Amazon Quest Readers,

I am trying to compile a list of books to read before I go down to the Amazon in two years. Please let me know what books you think would be best.

I am currently reading Amazon Dream.

I have read Paddle to the Amazon and Running the Amazon.

Running the Amazon remains my favorite book of all-time. Nice work Joe Kane.

The First Post

Hello Amazon Quest Followers,

I am writing my first post here today. This blog is going to be my posting dedicated to my trip in July of 2010 to the Amazon rainforest. I have dreamed of this trip since I was little. I need to plan out all the details. That is the reason I am starting the blog.

My motives for this blog. To educate, to amuse and to entertain. This blog is for you as much as it is for me. Lets take the next two years to get to know the Amazon a little bit better.
